The HVR-M25E supports HDV1080i, DVCAM and DV recording and playback - providing users the ability to work with both standard definition and high definition content. The HVR-M25E is also compatible with standard size cassettes. The DigitalMaster™ cassette can provide over 4 hours recording of HDV content - the ideal choice when longer recording times are required.

The HVR-M25E is designed for professional use - and includes a convenient, integrated 16:9 LCD screen for content monitoring, and HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) for simple connectivity to HD consumer displays for added flexibility.

Not just for HDV
With the Sony HVR-M25E, you are able to switch between DV, DVCAM and HDV recording and playback giving you full flexibility to record and review in either Standard or High Definition depending on your chosen footage.

The high resolution integrated 16:9 LCD monitor can be used on the HVR-M25E to view the images as they are recorded or to check the playback picture - ideal as a quick reference tool.
Easy integration to the way you already work
Continuity of Workflow can be very important. Enjoying the benefits of the HVR-M25E does not mean that you need to change the way you work. Like DVCAM VTR's, a full range of connectivity is available for external devices including Composite In/Out, S-video In/Out, Component Out and i.LINK (IEEE1394). In addition, you can choose to convert your HDV footage with the in-built down-converter to output in Standard Definition if required.
